Arkadin Collaborates with Sipcom to Expanded Collaboration Services Powered by Microsoft's Lync 2010

August 08, 2011

The collaboration solutions provider Arkadin announced a partnership with global hosted services provider Sipcom. Under the collaboration, the two companies will jointly develop a Cloud based Unified Communications solution based on Microsoft Lync UC technology.

Sipcom provides its partners with access to its Global Services Network, combining hosted voice and data services with solid network and infrastructure solutions, all underpinned by strategically located data centers.

The partnership will enable Arkadin to enhance its traditional collaboration services by adding the power of Lync 2010. The Arakadin customers are going to benefit from the functionalities of UC in a private cloud environment as the partnership will allow Arkadin to add a seamless end-to-end collaboration experience to their existing Arkadin services, the company officials explained in a press release.

“The last few years have shown a shift in client needs from being product based to experience focused. Our partnership with Sipcom plays to this trend, helping us to achieve our promise of delivering the best possible collaboration experience for our clients. Together with Microsoft's Lync UC solutions, we will accelerate our capacity to deliver UC cloud collaboration services,” Chief Commercial Officer of Arkadin Dominic Cusk explained in a statement.

Arkadin’s customizable, cost-efficient, user-friendly offerings include audio, web and video conferencing solutions. Arkadin has 46 operating centers in 27 countries throughout Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America, offering a full suite of remote collaboration solutions to more than 14,000 clients.

“Microsoft is focused on building a powerful partner ecosystem for hosted unified communications. We're excited to see Arkadin enriching their traditional collaboration services by adding the power of Lync 2010 to its existing offering to help boost end-user productivity and deliver a world-class user experience. Using Microsoft technologies, enabled by Sipcom, Arkadin can deliver full UC services to their customers with immediate effect,” EMEA Director for Business Services, Operator Channels at Microsoft Andrew Lund noted in a statement.

Last month, Arkadin launched its newest product to the Canadian market, enabling Canada’s business owners and mobile professionals alike to have access to a top-notch audio and web conferencing service -- a first of its kind on many levels.
