TMCnet Unified Communications Week in Review

We start the week in review in Unified Communications (UC) at high level with observations on Social Media in UC shared with TMCnet CEO, Rich Tehrani by Mike Ross, President of 4PSA in anticipation of the upcoming ITEXPO West event in Austin. The biggest impact for 4PSA has been the growing popularity of hosted Unified Communications solutions, with social networking and mobile technology quickly becoming the next disruptive forces.
ShoreTel has a strong week. Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor covered the announcement that the company had received a "Strong Positive," in Gartner's (News
- Alert) "MarketScope for Unified Communications for the SMB Market, North America" report. In addition, distributor NacTel announced installation of a ShoreTel system for National Distribution Alliance, the main independently owned and operated wholesaler of newspaper in the country.
Polycom had a double dip of features this week as well. TMC (News - Alert) Contributor Carolyn J. Dawson featured the unique half-day seminar that was hosted by Microsoft and FVC, the primary value added distributor in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for Polycom. . Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor had the details on Video Guidance being named a Gold Solution Provider of Polycom.
