Polycom Receives 2011 India Frost & Sullivan Award

Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) has awarded the “Video Conferencing Equipment Vendor of the Year” for the year 2010 in India to Polycom (News - Alert).

Frost & Sullivan said that Polycom had the highest market share in video conferencing equipment in India in 2010. Ensuring interoperability between different modes of conferencing technologies, the company is effectively translating its efficiency into developing intelligent solutions, said Frost & Sullivan. With its segmented approach in product offerings, innovative technologies, and partnership with vendors in the unified communication value chain, Polycom continues to be the leader in the video conferencing equipment market, according to the report.

With a share of 45.2 percent in the $58.5 million market in 2010, Polycom has been a market leader in the video conferencing space in India. Covering multi-point control units, recording and streaming servers, and management applications, Polycom offers a range of products in the single and multi-codec segments, infrastructure products. To develop open collaboration solutions, the company has also partnered with unified communication vendors like Microsoft (News - Alert), IBM, HP, Broadsoft, Juniper, Avaya, and Siemens.
