AltiGen Launches iFusion SmartStation With Distribution Partner SYNNEX Corporation
AltiGen Communications, a provider of innovative Unified Communications solutions for enterprises and service providers, has launched the iFusion SmartStation, a revolutionary new integrated communications docking station for the iPhone, with distribution partner SYNNEX Corporation.
The new iFusion SmartStation for iPhone is expected to be available this month.
Officials with AltiGen Communications said that the iFusion extends a traditional telephone handset and hands-free speakerphone to the iPhone. Instead of having to switch between a landline and mobile phone, the iFusion enables the iPhone to be used as the single business communications device.
"SYNNEX has built a solid reputation for delivering customized, fully-integrated solutions, services, and support to over 15,000 resellers throughout North America," said Bill Glau, director of channel development, AltiGen, in a statement.
Glau said that their demonstrated ability to reliably execute in the channel made it an easy decision for AltiGen to choose SYNNEX Corporation as its primary distribution partner to deliver the iFusion SmartStation to resellers, service providers and retailers in the North American market.
Peter Larocque, president of U.S. distribution at SYNNEX Corporation said that mobile convergence represents a strategic business focus for SYNNEX.
Larocque said that as part of this initiative, SYNNEX is assembling a best of breed portfolio of solutions and services.
“The iFusion SmartStation is the perfect complement to our mobile convergence strategy and will serve as a key product to drive through numerous channels," Larocque said.
Jerry Fleming, president and CEO of AltiGen said that as the first integrated communications docking station for the iPhone, the company is seeing demand across the board for the iFusions.
"With the iPhone being sold by most major service providers around the world and being tested or deployed by more than 85 percent of the Fortune 100 companies, we are very excited about the about the business potential for the iFusion SmartStation," Fleming said.
