Tango's Abrazo Mobile UC Now Supports ShoreTel UC Platform Release 10.x

May 19, 2011

Tango Networks, an enabler of mobile service providers to securely extend control of their networks to the edge, asserted that its Abrazo mobile unified communication solution has been tweaked to support the ShoreTel Unified Communications Platform Release10.x.

Tango Networks explained that it solves the communications management nightmare caused by the explosion in mobile phone usage by employees. The Tango Abrazo solution fuses the advanced capabilities of the enterprise PBX/unified communications system with the flexibility of the mobile phone. Now with Abrazo, any mobile phone on a Tango-enabled network, regardless of type, can become a true extension of ShoreTel Unified Communications Platform.

Built on the powerful voice capabilities of its IP phone system, ShoreTel asserted that its UC platform simplifies communication with fully integrated video, instant messaging, video conferencing, advanced mobility, presence and collaboration capabilities.

Tango is already a ShoreTel Technology Partner Program and now the Abrazo solution is stated to have passed the interoperability qualification for the ShoreTel Unified Communications Platform Release 10.x. Abrazo is now capable of helping ShoreTel users receive the power and functionality of their ShoreTel enabled enterprise network on any mobile phone, without changes in their behavior.

Some of the key features of the Abrazo mobile UC solution are: end users get the productivity benefits of a single phone number, single voicemail and advanced PBX/UC features on their mobile phones; enterprises get the control and management they want and need; service providers stay front and center in the value chain, benefiting from increased revenue, reduced churn, lower OPEX and new distribution opportunities; and more.

Officials with Tango exclaimed that with their unified communications platform, ShoreTel has further extended the power of collaboration to embrace desktop voice communications which is key to enable the enterprise’s overall unified communications strategy. Tango has taken this one step further by enabling enterprises to extend the power of ShoreTel to all mobile devices while providing a complete view of end-user mobile availability.
