Wyse to Showcase its Solutions at Tech�Ed 2011

Microsoft's (News - Alert) Tech·Ed 2011 will feature Wyse Technology as a participant as the company showcases its solutions at the event from May 16-19th.


Wyse’s solutions can be seen at Microsoft RemoteFX Partner Pavilion, station 14.

Wyse provides day one support of Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) 7.1 and RemoteFX technologies due to the strategic, long standing partnership between Wyse and Microsoft. Utilizing Windows Embedded Standard 7 WFR2, with multimedia and unified communications functionality, Wyse is showcasing its new best-in-class Wyse Z class client devices to extend this support effort. This provides true voice, video and data for cloud and virtualization applications.

Attendees to the Remote FX Hardware Selection and Deployment Considerations for VDI and Sessions (Session# WSV201) presentation will have the opportunity to view a live demo of a prototype of the Wyse Zero technology specifically designed for RemoteFX, On Tuesday, May 17th, the company has announced.

Bringing high performance, HD multimedia capabilities, and improved security to the mobile worker, the Wyse X90m7, is a next-generation 14" mobile thin client. The Wyse X90m7 is based on the Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7 operating system. Seamlessly connecting to existing IT infrastructures and delivering access to the most advanced Web browser and media player capabilities in a virtual client, it also offers enterprises an advanced, highly reliable, and secure mobile device. Optimized and tested for Microsoft Terminal Server and VDI Suites, and VMware View environments, this device is verified Citrix Ready for Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop.

Recently, the company announced the public beta of its Wyse PocketCloud application for the Android (News - Alert) operating system. Wyse PocketCloud is immediately available at the Android Market as a free download. Being a popular mobile remote desktop application Wyse PocketCloud allows end users to access Windows PCs, Remote Desktop Services and virtualized desktop infrastructures based on the Microsoft RDP protocol. The Wyse PocketCloud client is also VMware Ready Certified for VMware View available for the iPhone (News - Alert), iPod touch, and iPad.
