Comstor, a Westcon Group (News - Alert) business unit and a dedicated provider of all Cisco networking, collaboration and data center solutions, recently signed a global distribution agreement with SecureLogix, a leading provider of voice and unified communications (UC) security policy enforcement solutions.

As a member of Cisco's (News - Alert) Industry Solution Partner Network, SecureLogix offers voice and UC security features that help reseller partners to break free from the RFP-driven sales cycles. The agreement between Comstor and SecureLogix enables Comstor (News - Alert) reseller partners to now offer the SecureLogix ETM (Enterprise Telephony Management) System to customers worldwide.

All SecureLogix products, including the recently announced ETM System Version 6.1, will be available through Comstor immediately.

With security threats becoming more sophisticated, the enterprises are looking for solutions that are capable of protecting their voice and UC networks. Running on a single interface that spans TDM and SIP environments, the ETM System offers real-time monitoring and reporting on the use, utilization and performance of voice and UC resources and addresses real-world threats to enterprise networks, such as Telephony Denial of Service (TDOS) attacks, toll/voice fraud, network breaches, social engineering schemes, harassing callers, and toll abuse.

The integration of SecureLogix will help the partners gain a competitive edge and secure an improved profit margin on sales of Cisco UC solutions.

According to Jon Pritchard, president of Comstor, SecureLogix solutions deliver immediate security and ROI value to customers, which can be used to assist transitions to UC or SIP trunking in a more secure manner.

“We estimate that Cisco Authorized Resellers who include SecureLogix in their sales proposals are realizing a significant increase in gross profit margins on UC solution sales,” president of SecureLogis Lee Sutterfield said in a statement. “This distribution agreement is a great opportunity for partners to dramatically increase profits while meeting the specific security and intelligence challenges associated with voice and UC networks. Comstor's expertise and world-wide distribution programs will become the cornerstone of our global channel program.”

Recently Comstor announced that it will be expanding its offerings to include Cisco’s full portfolio of TelePresence solutions. Comstor, with this announcement, will be added to a select group of global distributors to deliver Cisco’s range of videoconferencing solutions, including those recently acquired from Tandberg (News - Alert).
