Comstor (News - Alert), the business unit of Westcon Group dedicated to Cisco products, has entered into a global distribution agreement with SecureLogix, a provider of Voice and Unified Communications (News - Alert) security policy enforcement solutions.

According to this partnership, Comstor reseller partners will be allowed to offer the SecureLogix ETM System to customers worldwide.

Reseller partners, by leveraging SecureLogix, will be able to substantially increase their competitive positioning and gross profit margins on sales of Cisco (News - Alert) UC solutions.

In a press release, Jon Pritchard, president of Comstor Worldwide, said: "Faced with more sophisticated security threats every day, companies are now demanding solutions specifically designed to protect their voice and UC networks." "SecureLogix offers voice and UC security features enabling reseller partners to break free from the RFP-driven sales cycles. The company's solutions deliver immediate security and ROI value to customers, which can be used to assist transitions to UC or SIP trunking in a more secure manner."

The SecureLogix ETM System provides enterprise networks, with unified voice and UC policy enforcement capabilities that address real-world threats, such as Telephony Denial of Service attacks, toll/voice fraud, network breaches, social engineering schemes, harassing callers, and toll abuse.

Running on a single interface that spans TDM and SIP environments, the ETM System offers real-time monitoring and reporting on the use, utilization and performance of voice and UC resources. The solution also unified policy enforcement and intelligence reporting across the entire enterprise.

"This distribution agreement is a great opportunity for partners to dramatically increase profits while meeting the specific security and intelligence challenges associated with voice and UC networks. Comstor's expertise and world-wide distribution programs will become the cornerstone of our global channel program," said Lee Sutterfield, president of SecureLogix.

In related news, Comstor, a global distributor of Cisco products and a part of Westcon Group (News - Alert), announced its new offerings including Cisco's full TelePresence portfolio.
