Roger Staubach, successful entrepreneur and former star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, will share his secrets to success during the Broadvox (News - Alert) Partner Summit to be held May 3-5 in Dallas.

Staubach was quarterback for the Cowboys from 1969 until 1979 and played a central role in leading the team through nine consecutive winning seasons, including many fourth quarter comebacks and its first Super Bowl victory. In addition to being a Heisman Trophy winner, he was named MVP in Super Bowl VI.

Following his career in the NFL he started one of the most successful real estate companies in the US, The Staubach Company. In July 2008, The Staubach Company merged with Jones Lang LaSalle, bringing together the unique strengths of two powerful organizations into one integrated global company. Staubach is now the executive chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle Americas.

Broadvox is a provider of SIP Trunking services and -- thanks to its recent merger with Cypress Communications -- unified communications solutions to businesses.

As a result of the merger, company officials are expecting increased turnout for this year’s event, which gives attendees the opportunity to learn about new products and services, meet company executives, and get inspired.

Recently TMCnet interviewed David Byrd (News - Alert), executive vice president of sales and marketing for Broadvox, to learn more about what’s planned for this year’s Partner Summit:

TMCnet: How many years has Broadvox held this Partner Summit and how has the event grown and evolved over the years?

David Byrd: This is the second year. We are attempting to grow the participation by 50 percent, or to 200 people.

TMCnet: What are the highlights of this year's event?

DB: The event is always highlighted by the round table with Andre Temnorod our CEO. This year’s event will also benefit from the re-launch of GO!VBX on an enterprise class platform with a customized VAR portal. It will be the first event that will include the Cypress Communications product management and sales teams.

TMCnet: What educational sessions can attendees expect?

DB: Six sessions on various products and industry trends. The sessions will be lead by our OEM partners such as AudioCodes (News - Alert), Iwatsu and GENBAND.

TMCnet: How many partners participate and of those how many exhibit their wares?

DB: Members of our VAR Partner Program are not asked to exhibit but only to attend to learn more about the products, and how to market and sell the products. Our OEM partners are the exhibitors. This year we have doubled the exhibition space to accommodate 15 exhibitors.

During the event, Broadvox senior managers will be on hand to discuss industry and company trends, as well as important innovations. The exhibit hall will feature new tools, products and services offered by OEM partners that will help resellers to build up their business.

In addition a fun Casino Night is planned, with the chance to outbid the “competition” for Roger Staubach-autographed memorabilia during a silent auction.
