InfoVista, a provider of service performance assurance, announced that it is showcasing its new Unified Communications (News - Alert) Assurance Solution at Cisco Live in London from January 31-February 3, 2011 in a press release.
The InfoVista solution enhances performance management support for Cisco’s (News - Alert) Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS) and unified communications as a service (UCaaS), company officials said. It provides capabilities for holistic monitoring across cloud infrastructure, services, and applications.
“End-users expect access to communications and collaboration the moment they need it, regardless of where they are or what devices they are using. This makes the delivery of high-quality UC&C services critical,” said Vikas Trehan, Senior Vice President of Network Performance Management Business Line at InfoVista, in a statement.
Performance management is a vital part of unified communications and it requires solutions that have the ability to optimize the monitoring of the complex physical and virtual infrastructure.
With the InfoVista solution for the hosted and cloud-based UC&C services, service providers can continuously deliver a quality user experience.
InfoVista’s initiatives on service performance management in the unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) environment enables providers of managed, hosted, and cloud-based UC&C services to maintain UC&C quality and keep complex network applications, according to company officials.
“As unified communications and collaboration solutions continue to grow into an essential aspect of enterprise communications, maintaining the quality of service for these business critical applications is vital,” said Peter Hall, Principal Analyst at research and consulting firm Ovum (News - Alert), in a statement.
In October last year InfoVista announced version 3.0 of its Mobile Knowledge Pack to complement its fully integrated end-to-end mobile assurance platform, TMCnet reported.
