Fonality, a provider of cloud-based business phone systems and unified communications solutions for small, medium and enterprise businesses, announced the launch of a Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) platform as part of its Connect cloud-based communications solution, in order to help small and mid-size businesses to communicate effectively with affordable enterprise-grade Unified Communications.

The company’s Connect is an all-inclusive cloud-based communications solution that includes key functionalities required for a business such as: a phone for every employee, a number for each phone, unlimited calling between 10 countries and competitive global rates and telephone support.

Fonality's (News - Alert) new Heads Up Display “HUD” is the Unified Communications dashboard that connects phones, desktop and important business applications into a single, unified interface.

Being a part of the company’s Connect cloud-based communications solution, the HUD can provide Fortune 500-type UC services for the company’s SMB customers. The platform includes drag and drop call management, real-time contact center metrics, visual voicemail, presence, activity monitoring, e-mail, text, and finds me/follow me services to direct calls and user preferred phones.

Starting at $30 per user per month, the Fonality HUD for Connect not only offers UC services but also offers SMS and Microsoft Outlook integration.

According to Fonality, its HUD’s Unified Communications functions facilitate businesses to communicate more efficiently and streamline processes to improve productivity. Its features can display every aspect of the contact center environment, such as a color-coded status of the customer service or sales team and their interaction with current callers, and those in the queue.

In addition, the HUD can be integrated with critical business applications like SalesForce, NetSuite or SugarCRM (News - Alert) to provide real-time information to improve the customer experience.

Officials with Fonality said in a press release that the HUD will enable managers to have a 360-degree view of all activities, such as call status and performance metrics. The Fonality HUD for Connect system also enables "drag and drop" capabilities to share calls.

Some of the other features of HUD includes audio conferencing, secure chat, photo caller ID, visual voicemail, email/text, ring-back and on-the-fly call recording.

According to Fonality, its cloud-based business communications solutions not only replace legacy phone systems, but also add advanced functionality such as conference bridges, unified messaging, chat, voicemail and e-mail, presence management, contact center applications, and integration with products such as Microsoft Outlook, Google (News - Alert), Salesforce.

Fonality leverages a patented technology that provides automated system monitoring, configuration backups, rock-solid connectivity, simplified multi-location networking, and complete data privacy over the cloud.

The company’s other products, Fonality Professional and Fonality Enterprise, offer additional benefits, such as advanced CRM integration, dedicated hosting, on-site data backups and redundancy, a wider selection of phones and calling plans, local toll connectivity and premium support.
