In an effort to provide high-quality, innovative and cost-effective communication services clubbed with unsurpassed customer service, Broadvox and Cypress Communication came up with the strategic decision to merge.

Both the companies are providers of VoIP and Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) and with the completion of the merger; the company will be identified as Broadvox whereas Cypress will become the distinguished brand of the Broadvox service offerings.

In a release, Brent Kelly (News - Alert), senior analyst and partner at Wainhouse Research said, “The merger between Broadvox and Cypress combines complementary product portfolios well-suited to compete in today's emerging Unified Communications marketplace. The combined company offers a broader range of services that spans carriers, premises-based solutions, and hosted UC for SMB and enterprise customers.”

Andre Temnorod, chairman and CEO at Broadvox (News - Alert) added, “We are excited about bringing Broadvox and Cypress together to deliver hosted Unified Communications and SIP Trunking to SMBs and Enterprise customers. Broadvox now boasts one of the nation's largest VoIP networks, providing 24x7 support and service to more than 10,000 business customers and hundreds of thousands of users.”

Broadvox Co-founders’, Andre Temnorod and Eugene Blumin, will each retain their original positions in the merged company as chairman and chief executive officer, and chief operating officer respectively.

Scott Drake and Frank Grillo (News - Alert) will join the Broadvox management team as chief financial officer and executive vice-president of product marketing and implementation services respectively.

With headquarters in Dallas, the company having strength of approximately 250 employees, will run its operations from Atlanta and Cleveland. As of today, the company generates revenues in excess of $100 million per year.

With the deployment of the largest, full-featured, global VoIP networks, Broadvox provides integrated managed VoIP services and hosted Unified Communications to SMB, enterprise and carrier customers.

More than 300 telecommunications carriers, ASPs, ISPs, and over 10,000 businesses trust Broadvox to transport over 12 billion minutes annually. Having a 24x7 network operations center, Broadvox provides customers worldwide with reliable, secure and high-quality services.
