Sipera UC Security Systems Integrated with ZOOM Quality Management Suite

Sipera Systems, a provider of real-time unified communications (UC) enablement and security, announced a partnership with ZOOM International, a provider of interaction recording and quality management solutions for contact centers and UC environments.

The integration of Sipera UC security systems with the ZOOM Quality Management (QM) Suite will enable contact centers to ensure that their UC are secure, and compliant with industry security and privacy mandates, according to company officials.

In a press release, Andy Asava, vice president of business development at Sipera, said that UC enable effective, collaborative communications, but present industry security, privacy, and communications logging and archiving compliance issues, along with unique security challenges.

“Working with ZOOM International, we can jointly deliver comprehensive, enterprise-class security for contact centers' UC networks and applications, and enable compliance with HIPAA and other government and industry mandates regarding control, archiving and privacy of information,” Asava said.

The ZOOM QM Suite delivers an intuitive tool set to provide contact centers with the road map to continuous improvement in quality and performance, said company officials.

Recently, the company released the new version of ZOOM QM Suite, equipped with extensive feature set focused on compliance with PCI-DSS and other security standards.

Sipera’s UC-Sec appliances address security risks associated with UC applications, including VoIP, instant messaging, IP video and collaboration tools. Company officials aid that this enables enterprise customers to adopt UC applications and apply comprehensive security. 

Additionally, the company’s “Borderless UC” architecture enables all communications to be encrypted and compliant on any UC device, at any internal and external location, said company officials.

Noting that recording encrypted calls has been an industry dilemma for some time, Brian Shore, president of North America at ZOOM International, said that to eliminate this challenge, ZOOM is partnering with Sipera to provide tested reference architecture with no finger pointing. 

“Sipera's depth of knowledge in the security arena, matched with ZOOM's voice expertise, is a powerful combination,” Shore said.

For the Children’s Hospital, the ZOOM multichannel interaction recording solution supports the campus environment across two data centers, while Sipera is securing remote agents’ communications.

Earlier in September, Sipera Systems partnered with North American Communications Resource (NACR) to provide secured UC systems to enterprises.
