ScanSource to Distribute Polycom's Voice, Videoconferencing Solutions in Germany

ScanSource Communications Europe announced the addition of Polycom (News - Alert) to its vendor line card. This partnership entails that ScanSource Communications Europe, a division of ScanSource, Inc., will distribute Polycom’s voice and videoconferencing solutions to resellers in Germany.

According to company sources ScanSource (News - Alert) Communications Europe will distribute Polycom’s entire line of voice and video products, which are optimized for enabling high-quality communication and collaboration.

Leveraging Polycom’s solutions, resellers are able to serve their end-user customers in enhancing performance and efficiency and also in removing the barriers of time and distance. The use of voice and videoconferencing solutions has greatly reduced the amount of business travel besides minimizing the carbon footprint.

In a release Xavier Cartiaux, president of ScanSource Europe said, “Polycom has proven itself as one of the world’s leading suppliers of communications and collaboration solutions. They have been an integral part of the ScanSource Communications business in the United States and Canada, and we are pleased to expand that partnership to Europe.”

“Our reseller partners will find great value in this new product offering, as Polycom not only offers outstanding solutions but also is a great complement to many of our other leading vendor partners’ products,” Cartiaux added.

Marianne Nickenig, managing director for ScanSource Communications, emphasized the need for collaboration as all employees are no longer working within the four walls of the business.

She pointed out that resellers who can offer voice and video solutions to their end-user customers will remain ahead of the competition. ScanSource Communications and Polycom strive to achieve just that, she added.

ScanSource is an important partner of Polycom in North America and the two companies will now extend the relationship to serve the European market.
