City Information Services Limited (CityIS Ltd.), a global video communications company, is experiencing exceptional growth. As the company enters the fourth quarter of the current financial year, they are also trying to further capitalize on the unified communications opportunities within the marketplace. The financial year for the company ends on Dec. 31.

Viju Group acquired CityIS in April 2010. After the acquisition, the financial position of the company has strengthened. This has further accelerated their growth and expansion. CityIS also gained some notable new customers, such as Royal Bank of Scotland, Thomson (News - Alert) Reuters and Xerox. According to the company, during the year 47 new clients have been added.

In a press release, Stephen Gill, managing director of CityIS, said, "We have aggressively pursued new business opportunities and have recently secured a number of significant new client wins. Not only has the company experienced growth in revenue and headcount, our diverse portfolio of service offerings, including professional, managed and hosted services continues to deliver positive results."

Stephen continued saying that the company is happy as the customers have seen the long-term benefits of video communications. The capabilities of video conferencing and telepresence are being leveraged by these customers. Stephen added that these capabilities are strategic and essential tools for business growth.

In the past decade, there has been an exponential growth for video conferencing and telepresence. The market is also set for unparalleled future development. By 2011, there will be further investment in this market by CityIS. The company is also planning to increase its workforce and presence. This will be important as the company wants to lead the growth in unified communications and collaboration.

With a goal to become 'the top global visual communications provider,’ additional overseas expansion is also on the cards for the Viju Group. The group also wants to gain customers and market share to achieve this goal.

The new standards for video conferencing, telepresence, audio visual integration and collaboration and visualization solutions are set by CityIS, which is now a part of Viju Group.
