Sipera Systems (News - Alert), specializing in real-time Unified Communications enablement and security, has announced a partnership agreement with North American Communications Resource, Inc. ( NACR.)
NACR is a provider of comprehensive communications solutions. Sipera and NACR will be able to provide enterprises with comprehensively secured UC systems, including the ability to secure a variety of smartphones, said company sources.
In a release Dean Roth, vice president of Sales North America & Business Development Officer for Sipera said, “With more and more enterprises deploying UC networks, applications, and devices including smartphones, it’s critical to secure and protect all network traffic, communications, devices and users.”
“NACR’s UC expertise ensures we can jointly provide customized, cost efficient, comprehensively secured UC systems. This allows enterprises to reap the benefits of real-time UC, protect sensitive business communications, and satisfy industry security and privacy mandates including HIPAA, PCI (News - Alert) DSS, and others,” Roth added.
Gina Odean, director of Converged Solutions with NACR, said that enterprise customers of NACR are keen on adopting UC systems and collaborative applications including VoIP, IM and IP video. However the necessity of security is strongly felt, Odean noted.
“Working with Sipera, we can apply comprehensive UC and smartphone security solutions that deliver peace of mind, do not interrupt real-time communications, and extend enterprise security protocols across UC infrastructures down to any end point,” Odean added.
NACR is the largest Avaya (News - Alert) channel partner worldwide and it is a provider of end-to-end communications solutions. It delivers comprehensive sales, consultative, and technical support, as well as managed services, maintenance, and repairs. NACR confirmed that it has extensive Nortel (News - Alert) certifications and is authorized to sell Nortel Enterprise Solutions or NES besides the full line of Avaya products and services.
Sipera’s UC-Sec appliances are equipped to proactively deal with security risks connected with UC applications such as VoIP, instant messaging, IP video and collaboration tools. This empowers government agencies and enterprise customers to adopt UC applications and apply comprehensive security. Sipera’s groundbreaking “Borderless UC” architecture helps in encrypting all communications and also be compliant with any UC device, at any internal and external location.
