One of the challenges SMBs face is not being able to access enterprise grade solutions at price points they can afford. In order to address this segment, Avaya (News - Alert) has announced its Avaya Midmarket Select Program, designed to provide enterprise class business communications at competitively priced total cost of ownership.

In today’s highly competitive and connected digital ecosystem, business of all sizes must be able to communicate effectively across devices, platforms, locations and systems. Not being able to make these connections can result in losing customers, partners, vendors and even employees who can’t collaborate effectively.

According to Avaya, the new midmarket program is going to give a select number of Avaya Connect channel partners the ability to start offering Select Engagement Packages. The packages are a new set of business communications solutions specifically designed to address this market. However, the partners must meet specified criteria and provide additional channel support and resources.

More than a dozen companies in the U.S., Canada and Europe have already met the requirements and are now part of the Midmarket Select Program. They include Arrow Systems Integration, Carousel Industries, ConvergeOne, Strategic Products and Services (SPS), GSolutionz, Connex Telecommunications, Maintel and others.

"To stay competitive, midsize businesses need the functionality of enterprise-class communications, but built to accommodate the budget and resource requirements of the midmarket. The Avaya Select Engagement packages are purpose-built to enable midsize businesses to quickly move beyond these challenges by providing unmatched value, phenomenal pricing, and streamlined, simplified deployment on a proven platform that leapfrogs the competition," said  Steve Biondi, vice president of Global Partner Organization, Avaya.

A key component of this new service is the reduction of the total cost of ownership for purchase, deployment and support as compared to similar, competing solutions. According to Avaya, it will dramatically reduce the price. But the cost cutting doesn’t skimp on the number of services the package provides. Midsized businesses will be able to engage with all their resources by simplifying end-user provisioning with management tools that speed deployment while keeping operational costs low.

The packages have solutions and technologies that simplify full virtualization, integrated Wi-Fi access points, network switches, session border controllers, WebRTC-enabled "click-to-call" capabilities integrated into browser-based applications, such as Office365, Google (News - Alert) Apps for Work, and Salesforce simplify end-user tasks and increase productivity.

Costs will be kept low, with the integrated support services and major software upgrade licenses for Avaya IP Office, video and contact center components. Additionally, customers can increase their capabilities by accessing Avaya Professional, Support and Networking Managed Services.
