By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor
Sipera Systems, a Unified Communications (UC) provider, and Belltech, an advanced communication solutions integrator, demonstrated Sipera’s (News - Alert) enterprise smartphone and UC security solutions at a recent convention.
Sipera claims that its UC security appliances and services provide comprehensive privacy, security and control across the range of enterprise UC applications, including VoIP, video, messaging, collaboration and others. The company’s borderless UC architecture enables enterprise managers to safely extend UC over any network to any device, including office phones, home office phones, remote call center agents, video devices, soft-phones, collaboration tools, and smartphones.
The huge growth of the smartphone market means that now organizations are finding it difficult to contain their employees who are using unauthorized VoIP or other UC applications on their smartphones and violating privacy mandates and confidentiality rules. Sipera has claimed that they have designed the Sipera Secure Live Communications (SLiC) mobility solution that solves the smartphone security challenge by integrating the smartphone into the enterprise communications security infrastructure. By offering efficient enterprise-class communications privacy and security for Voice-over-IP and UC on smartphones, Sipera SLiC makes smartphone VoIP and UC business ready.
Commenting on their demonstration John Firnett (News - Alert), VP of Sales of Emerging Markets at Sipera has said that like their counterparts around the world, Colombian financial institutions are adopting smartphones and UC applications, including VoIP, IM, and video, for internal and external communications. In order to protect these communications, and satisfy privacy and security regulations, these institutions also require world class smartphone and UC security solutions. Working with Belltech, which has local expertise, Sipera is educating these financial institutions about how best to secure critical business communications, satisfy security and privacy regulations, and combat toll fraud.
Officials with Belltech added that participating in the at the XLV Convencion Bancaria 2010 Convention was an ideal way to personally meet and work with Colombian bankers, and develop systems customized to their needs and existing communications infrastructures.
