Business to Benefit from Mitel's Bundled Offering

Mitel, a leading provider of unified communications software solutions, has now added BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones on the Mitel Mobile service. The service is being offered to U.S. based corporate customers through Mitel NetSolutions. Companies will now be in a position to obtain business-class devices, service and applications from a single provider. As the Mitel (News - Alert) Mobile Service can be seamlessly integrated with its communications software or the SIP trunk service, a single number solution will be available for all business communications.

 Organizations will have the option to choose between BlackBerry Curve8530 or BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphones and can also avail of the Enterprise server licenses and allow its mobile users access to Mitel Unified communications apps.

Mitel Unified Communications (News - Alert) solutions are built on a foundation of simplicity and integrate the power of voice, e-mail, unified messaging, mobility, presence, conferencing, collaboration, applications and more — enabling faster, more effective communication.

BlackBerry smartphones can connect to and operate Mitel's suite of UC apps as they have been designed to work with the Mitel Mobile service.

"The BlackBerry smartphone is a leading device choice for enterprises around the world. With this announcement, Mitel will enable a bundled device and service offering, allowing businesses to benefit from consolidation and simplicity at a number of levels,"Jon Brinton, president of Mitel NetSolutions, said.

He also added that the whole combination of smartphones, Enterprise Server licenses, and Mitel's suite of comprehensive services can be used by all companies regardless of their size. Not only would they get a service that focused on their specific needs, but they would also receive customer support and a single source for all communication needs.

Mitel's bundling of wireline access and UC features allow all subscribers to enjoy the same benefits and coverage that major network service providers provide and also offer flexible wireless plans that benefit the whole organization.

The Mitel Mobile service ensures business continuity and supports wireless handsets, wireless data cards , in addition to smartphones. 

"Since implementing Mitel Mobile, it's been notably easier for our employees to conduct business,"  Christina Racine, director of information technology, Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions,said, and added that the service worked seamlessly with the UC applications and it was one number to call to any employee regardless of device or location.

The Mitel Mobile service is generally available in the United States.

Mitel announced it has signed a direct partnership agreement with Telstra (News - Alert), Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company. It will expand its longstanding relationship with Telstra and provide its customers with access to Mitel's portfolio of scalable unified communication solutions, including its line of software, applications and hardware offerings.
