AT&T (News - Alert) a company offering communication and entertainment related products and services, has been named as the leading provider of enterprise mobility services in the U.S. by Current Analysis (News - Alert), a provider of tactical competitive analysis.

The analysis is based on ongoing research as well as briefings and analyst events over the last few months.

Current Analysis’ advisory report entitled, “U.S. Carrier Enterprise Mobility: Competitive Landscape and Best Practices” has highlighted AT&T's combination of leading elements, including a solid set of core and value-added services, coupled with innovation around machine-to-machine solutions, smartphones and embedded devices, and enterprise applications.

"We have made significant steps in the area of enterprise mobility in recent years, including the recent launch of our Advanced Enterprise Mobility Solutions Group, and are gratified to be recognized for our work in this area," Michael Antieri, president, advanced enterprise mobility solutions, AT&T business solutions said.

"Mobility has become the beating heart of many enterprises, transforming the way they do business - this is a critical component of our offerings to large multi-national corporations," Antieri added.

The Report widely highlights on the enterprise mobility strategy and services of the four largest carriers in the U.S. and rates how they stack up when it comes to offering enterprise-focused mobile voice, data and email plans; third-party and carrier-provided applications; mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and portable navigation devices; and value-added services such as telecom expense management and mobile device management.

"The enterprise mobility space is heating up in the U.S.," Kathryn Weldon, principal analyst, Enterprise Mobility, Current Analysis said.

"U.S. enterprises represent a significant opportunity as a growing set of valuable customers and the evidence points to AT&T as the carrier that is leading the way," Weldon added.

AT&T products and services are offered by subsidiaries and affiliates of AT&T Inc. under the AT&T brand.
