RADCOM Adds Cellular Capabilities to Q Trace Real-Time Tracing Application

By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributor

RADCOM Ltd. a provider of Service Assurance solutions announced that it has added cellular capabilities to its innovative QTrace Real-Time tracing application.

According to company sources the correlation engine has always been one of RADCOM's Omni-Q Service Assurance solution's major optimized features. This correlation is the basis of RADCOM's successful QTrace application that is being leveraged to implement end-to-end call tracing on UMTS and LTE (News - Alert) networks.
The Omni-Q management suite goes beyond traditional monitoring solutions. It provides a full array of drilldown and troubleshooting tools. Signaling and media attributes and quality measurement eDRs or enhanced detail records that are collected from the probes in the QManager are stored in the embedded Oracle (News - Alert) database.
RADCOM's cellular testing solutions support GSM, GPRS, UMTS and CDMA2000. Its Omni-Q Voice Quality Management System allows service providers to deliver packet telephony services that back up SLAs with assurance.
Also it was revealed that some solutions available are only ad-hoc and limited in scope. However RADCOM is able to supply full correlation for all sessions encompassing all technologies, all networks and in also all domains. This optimized feature makes use of QTrace's abilities so that 3G UMTS operators are able to see calls in these complex networks, end-to-end and also in real time.
In a release Eyal Harari, RADCOM's VP Products and Marketing said, "We are excited to be able to combine the capabilities of QTrace, with our legacy cellular strengths."
"The ability to see details of 3G calls end-to-end always excited our customers. RADCOM is now able to provide this in Real-Time which makes our advantage even more significant," Harari added.
RADCOM specializes in offering innovative service assurance solutions for communications service providers and equipment vendors. RADCOM solutions are most suitable for next-generation networks, including both wireless and wire line networks.
The company's portfolio of comprehensive, carrier strength solutions are used to prevent service provider revenue leakage and enable management of customer care. Also the company's products facilitate fault management, network service performance analysis, troubleshooting and pre-mediation with an OSS/BSS.
