Complete two-way synchronization and backup of contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between PCs and HTC (News - Alert) DROID INCREDIBLE with HTC Sense UI has been announced by CompanionLink Software.
A pioneer in developing data synchronization solutions for mobile phones and CRM software and services, CompanionLink Software also provides OEM synchronization and solutions provider for companies like Sage Software, Google (News - Alert), and Commence Corporation. CompanionLink has helped mobilize information across multiple devices, computers, applications, and web-based services for more than 15 years.
Synchronization from the PC to the DROID INCREDIBLE is done in two ways by CompanionLink, through a secured wired sync and also through an automatic wireless sync via Google. The PC software supported by CompanionLink includes Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Business Contact Manager, IBM Lotus Notes, ACT! by Sage, Novell (News - Alert) GroupWise, and Palm Desktop. The newest 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Outlook 2010 are also supported by CompanionLink.
CompanionLink's wired USB sync with DROID INCREDIBLE is possible through an Android (News - Alert) app. The user needs to install CompanionLink on the PC. Also the user will need to download the CL USB Sync app on the HTC DROID INCREDIBLE. This app which runs on the phone has custom calendar, tasks, and notes modules. The contacts sync to the native contact database on the DROID INCREDIBLE.
People are able sync contacts and calendar data to Google with the help of CompanionLink's wireless sync to DROID INCREDIBLE via Google. This then syncs to the phone through its wireless data connection. There are two parts to sync between the PC and the HTC DROID INCREDIBLE with the help of Google. First CompanionLink will install itself on the PC and syncs data with the user's Google account. Then the Google account will automatically sync with the HTC DROID INCREDIBLE's built-in contacts and calendar apps. Auto-Sync on the PC ensures that Google and your device are always up to date.
Both methods of synchronization support a two-way sync. This enables changes made on the phone to be updated on the PC upon synchronization.
CompanionLink's solutions are available for a one-time cost starting at $39.95 with free telephone support included. More details and a 14-day evaluation version of the software are available at the company's website.
