Varlink, the York-based specialist mobile computing and data capture hardware distributor, reportedly has become a U.K. Distributor for Unitech handheld portable terminals, industrial PDAs and RFID readers.

Kelly said that the company is confident that the introduction of their mobile computing devices will be well received within Channel and will help the resellers unlock opportunities for enterprise mobility applications.
Unitech is a recognized worldwide manufacturer of rugged PDAs, with Unitech Europe one of the fastest growing vendors in the Auto ID market place.

Commenting on the latest new units launched by Unitech - the PA600 Phone (News - Alert) Edition Mobile Computer and the PA600 Healthcare PDA, he said that the company strongly believes that both will help create many business opportunities for the customers and will expand the industrial mobile computing market.
He said that the PA600 offers the perfect balance between size, functionality and price, so customers are paying for a device that offers every element of functionality they need, without paying any price premium for functionality which they don’t need.
Recently Fujitsu (News - Alert) had announced signing a three-year deal with EPoS Distributor, specialist retail IT division of Varlink.
The agreement will see EPoS Distributor become the first U.K. distributor of Fujitsu’s point-of-sale retail hardware products.
The agreement spans the entire range of products from the TP-X II terminal to the TP-TRIO series including terminals, printers, screens and cash drawers.
All the terminals have the ability to run complex multi-media/multi-screen applications and are designed to support the latest software innovations.
