Verizon Wireless, one of the largest 3G network providers in the United States, reportedly announced that its 3G network will be now be available on Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus, bringing the Palm webOS experience to customers.

 

The reach and reliability of Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless' 3G network will provide customers with a 3G advantage when they use Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus to download and use cool apps, from mobile social networking portals to streaming radio.

 

Users can also access the latest news, sports, stock quotes, and Hollywood gossip with just a click at faster speed. They can also share e-mail with friends, family and co-workers that include picture and video attachments.

 

“The Palm experience is all about helping our customers stay connected so they never miss a thing,” Jon Rubinstein, Palm chairman and CEO, said.

 

He said that they are constantly enriching this experience with new features and innovations and the Verizon Wireless launch of Pre Plus and Pixi Plus is the next phase in delivering this unique Palm experience to more people.

 

The company is offering the Palm Pre Plus for $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and Palm Pixi Plus for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, each with a new two-year customer agreement. Users can even buy Palm Pre Plus or a Palm Pixi Plus and get a Palm Pixi Plus free after a mail-in rebate through Feb. 14.

He said that the outstanding capabilities and functionalities on both Pre Plus and Pixi Plus give customers a wealth of customization options to help them manage their lives and customers get the latest technology from Palm along with the nation’s largest and most reliable 3G network for an unsurpassed mobile experience.

 

Verizon Wireless recently invested $6.5 billion or more to increase the wireless voice and data coverage of its national network and to add new 3G services such as Mobile Broadband and V CAST.
