Allview Selects BOLT as Official Mobile Browser Partner

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

AllviewMobile has selected the BOLT mobile browser from Bitstream Inc. as its official mobile browser partner, and will preload BOLT on the entire line of Allview phones sold across Europe.

Previously the two companies announced that BOLT would be preloaded onto new models of the Allview branded mobile phones sold in Romania.

Allview mobiles are designed specially for the Romanian market, one of the fastest growing mobile markets in Europe.

The menu and user manual are also offered in Romanian, and compatible applications for each phone are available for free downloading on the allview.ro website.

Allview delivers technical support to users via phone or by e-mail.

In a release, Allview officials said the first Allview device to come preloaded with BOLT is the F1 X-perience, an elegantly designed intelligent dual SIM, dual standby touchscreen GSM handset.

Allview selected BOLT as its official mobile browser partner to add value and improve the user experience and to continue its practice of offering customers the best technology available in the highest quality mobile phones.

“BOLT was chosen over competing mobile browsers because it perfectly displays Web pages on Allview phones the way people see them on their computers,” said Adrian Visan, development manager at Visual Fan, parent company of AllviewMobile, in the release.

Visan said that BOLT is not only fast and easy to use, it’s the only browser for mobile phones that streams videos from websites popular in Europe such as YouTube (News - Alert) and RuTube.

He said BOLT’s data compression not only assures that websites load quickly, it helps reduce the cost of browsing the Web for users of Allview phones, and has even been shown to extend battery life between recharging.

Bitstream Inc. (News - Alert) develops software technologies and applications for the graphic art and mobile communications industries.

Recently Bitstream announced availability of BOLT 1.6, a fully-featured mobile browser available for mobile phones of all types.

The company claims BOLT 1.6 delivers the industry-leading data compression ratio and offers the best website rendering, displaying full Web pages just as they appear on desktop computers.
