Notify Technology Announces Availability of NotifySync 4.7 for BlackBerry

By Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor

Notify Technology Corporation has introduced NotifySync 4.7 for BlackBerry, which now supports Microsoft's (News - Alert) Version 2.5, 12.0 and 12.1 ActiveSync protocol technology.

According to a press release, the new version adds over 30 new features to the initial NotifySync product, which was released a year ago. The product is targeted at providing BlackBerry (News - Alert) users with a simple direct connect solution that provides wireless push email, calendar, contacts and task synchronization to those email platforms who offer the ActiveSync protocol technology as their primary mobility interface.

'We are excited to announce our latest version of NotifySync for BlackBerry, which has over 30 new features encompassing security, usability, and additional ActiveSync support. Since its launch less than a year ago, the response to our NotifySync product has exceeded our expectations in market acceptance,” said Paul DePond, president and founder of Notify Technology, in the release. “Organizations of all sizes are showing interest in our NotifySync product due to its simplicity, robust functionality, and competitive price.'

DePond said that NotifySync provides users with a BlackBerry solution where in the past they were limited to only using a Windows Mobile, Palm, or Apple (News - Alert) wireless device.

The NotifySync product is a downloadable application client, which provides BlackBerry users with a new email box while interfacing to the native BlackBerry calendar, address book and task applications.

The NotifySync product is simple to provision as it requires the basic information any ActiveSync mobile device requires today. It does not require the use of any middleware since it directly communicates with the email platform's ActiveSync interface.

Notify Technology Corporation is an independent software vendor (ISV) specializing in wireless solutions and services.

Notify says its wireless solutions and services provide secure synchronized email and PIM access and management to any size organization or business on a variety of wireless 2-way devices and networks.

In October Notify Technology had announced that it has enhanced its NotifyLink On-Premise and On-Demand versions to support the new Palm Pre.

NotifyLink provides users with wireless email and PIM synchronization combined with a robust set of mobile device management functionality.
