NetMotion Wireless' Mobility XE Completes Motorola Enterprise Mobility Validation

By Jyothi Shanbhag, TMCnet Contributor

NetMotion Wireless, a provider of mobile productivity and management software, has announced that its Mobility XE solution has successfully achieved Enterprise Mobility validation after passing the muster of Motorola's Enterprise Mobility Validated Solution Program.

Motorola (News - Alert) has awarded this new status to NetMotion only after testing and co-validating the Mobility XE on select Motorola products, including the MC55 and MC75 enterprise digital assistants (EDA).

Motorola initiated the new Enterprise Mobility Validated Solutions Program to help its partners in testing and validating their mobility solutions on Motorola products to ensure interoperability and meet the customer application-specific needs, as well as reduce both the risk level and the time to deployment for the customer.

"Motorola is a market leader in the field mobility space, and we are proud to receive this new enterprise mobility validation," said Pam Cory, vice president of marketing, NetMotion Wireless (News - Alert), in a release.

Mobility XE is a Mobile Virtual Private Network that provides secure, continuous remote access to network resources and applications from mobile devices over any wired or wireless IP-based network. It enables organizations to maximize the productivity and management of their worldwide mobile workforces, deliver flexible remote access, and safeguard the security of their data and networks and using Mobile Network Access Control (NAC). It even helps in easing common challenges in mobile deployments such as end-to-end security, application persistence as users move in and out of wireless coverage areas, device and policy management, and seamless roaming between Wi-Fi and wide-area cellular data networks.

These factors make Mobility XE an ideal solution for mobile workers who require secure, continuous connectivity to networks, applications and information over a variety of networks.

Mobility XE software is deployed at more than 1,700 organizations worldwide, in many industries including utilities, healthcare, communications, public safety, local government, and transportation.
