D-Link and NGT Partner to Offer Solution for Merging Traditional and VoIP Phone Lines

By Anamika Singh, TMCnet Contributing Editor

D-Link, an end-to-end computer network solutions provider for consumers and businesses and New Global Telecom (News - Alert) (NGT), a provider of wholesale hosted and trunk-based VoIP solutions, has agreed to co-market phones and services using Microsoft (News - Alert) Response Point to deliver affordable, easy-to-use solution for merging traditional and VoIP phone lines.

Microsoft Response Point offers a breakthrough voice-activated user interface, simplified setup and system management, and hosts of calling capabilities as required by businesses.

"Both D-Link (News - Alert) and NGT are strong partners for Response Point," said Richard Sprague, senior director of marketing at Microsoft Response Point. "This agreement will make it even easier for our customers to get high quality products that can improve their productivity as well as their bottom line."

As per the contract NGT Digital Voice phone services will be paired with D-Link VoiceCenter phone system. This will enable seamless merging of traditional phone systems with feature-rich, affordable VoIP services without requiring any telephony expertise.

"NGT and D-Link have a common goal -- to make it easy to deliver phones and value-added services to the underserved small business market," stated John Guillaume, senior vice president of product and marketing at NGT.

Targeted specifically at small business users requiring up to 50 phones and phone lines, companies claimed that this all-in-one phone solution can save up to 50% in communication costs. John Guillaume added that this compelling solution when paired together can have the return on investment of may be less than 18 months. Plus, end users and partners can be assured that the solution works seamlessly together.

"This relationship with NGT will allow small businesses to easily transition their traditional analog phone systems to adopt robust VoIP technology, allowing them to take advantage of the latest telephony offerings we have available to meet the changing needs of their business," said Keith A. Karlsen (News - Alert), executive vice president, D-Link Systems, Inc.

"This represents our aggressive efforts to introduce more value added resellers selling to small businesses the benefits and cost-effectiveness of VoiceCenter."

VoiceCenter systems are sold through D-Link's network of authorized value added resellers, solution providers, and distributors while NGT Digital Voice services are available through NGT's Partner Program.
