By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Spinwave announced today that it’s released the “JPEG CRUNCHER 3.0,” its newest version of image compression software.

The JPEG CRUNCHER has become synonymous with quick and easy image compression and optimization since its introduction, according to the company. The new version is ideal for professional Web developers processing large volumes of digital images. Digital images will consist of auction sites, e-commerce catalogs, image archives, digital and stock photography sites, telemedicine, geographical information systems, multimedia and other applications.

The JPEG CRUNCHER 3.0 uses an improved compression engine to provide faster optimization and compression than its previous versions, according to the company. Images can be compressed to as much as 90 percent of the original using JPEG CRUNCHER 3.0, company officials say. The levels of compression can be changed according to speed and quality requirements and preferences for either single images or hundreds of images at a time, company officials say.

JPEG CRUNCHER 3.0 is available for download at www.spinwave.com for $29.95. A downloadable demo is also provided in the Web site. The JPEG CRUNCHER 3.0 is compatible with Vista and all Windows systems. It provides the fastest, most accurate image compression available, along with batch compatibility, cropping and resizing, according to the company.

Major features of this product include: Improved Compression Quality; Secure File Saving; Simultaneous Multiple Files; User Support; and Easy System Requirements.
