CompanionLink Announces Two-way Sync Between all Versions of Outlook 2010 and Apple iPhone and iPad

By Divya Narain, TMCnet Contributor

Portland, Ore.-based provider of data synchronization solutions for Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook CompanionLink Software has announced two-way sync between all versions of Outlook 2010 and Apple iPhone (News - Alert) and iPad.

A proprietary sync engine that supports both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Outlook 2010, CompanionLink’s PC-based solution delivers two-way sync of Outlook contacts, calendar and tasks to Apple (News - Alert) iPhone and iPad. The three methods used for this include Wi-Fi sync, which securely transfers data via a local Wi-Fi connection, Wireless sync, which uses CompanionLink's monthly subscription service to transfer data through the wireless data connection on the device and Sync via Google (News - Alert), which uses any Google account with the free Google Sync service as a conduit to transfer data over-the-air to iPhone or iPad devices.

"Outlook 2010 is now available to Microsoft Software Assurance and Volume Licensing customers, and will soon be available to retail customers," says Rushang Shah, Director of Marketing for CompanionLink. "CompanionLink is proud to offer two-way sync for Outlook 2010 64-bit from day one."

CompanionLink offers a variety of sync products for Outlook 2010 starting at a one-time cost of $39.95, which includes phone support.

CompanionLink Software is also an OEM synchronization and solutions provider for companies like Sage Software, NVIDIA, Google, Commence Corporation, and Royal Consumer Electronic Products.

In another article, TMCnet reported that CompanionLink Software has offered complete two-way synchronization and backup of contacts, calendar, tasks and notes between PCs and HTC (News - Alert) DROID INCREDIBLE with HTC Sense UI.
