gwabbit Debuts Free Version of Automatic Contact Management Solution
By Jyothi Mahalingham, TMCnet Contributor
A Carmel Valley, Calif.-based provider of automated solutions for the contact cloud, has reportedly announced the availability of a complimentary version of its contact management solution.
gwabitt, a provider of applications that are designed to administer the contact cloud, makes it possible to fetch contact information in the emails and routinely incorporate and update contact information either in a handheld BlackBerry (News - Alert) or a desktop PC.
"The fact that gwabbit for BlackBerry has been the #1 paid productivity application in BlackBerry's App World for 12 consecutive weeks is a tremendous validation of the value we are bringing to mobile users," said Todd Miller, founder and president of gwabbit. "In these cost-conscious times, a free version of gwabbit is the perfect solution for users who are looking to leverage free software."
The free version of gwabbit has an in-built alerting feature to notify a user when a contact is included in an address book of gwabitt. This feature is said to be more useful for persons involved in sales and business development and the free version is compatible with Blackberry and Windows Outlook applications.
The email alerting feature for every inclusion of contact is not included in the premium version which costs $9.99 annually for BlackBerry will and for a one time fee of $19.95 for Outlook users.
