Store openings lift Card Factory
(City A.M. (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Card Factory's sales jumped nearly nine per cent during the first half of 2014, boosted by new store openings and online sales. "The group has a strong pipeline of additional new store opportunities and remains confident of achieving planned openings of approximately 50 new stores in the current financial year," the company said in a trading update. Card Factory's shares rose 2.4 per cent to 210p in London on the news.
