BroadSoft announces partnership with Sonus Networks

Feb 14, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- BroadSoft, Inc. and Sonus Networks, Inc. have announced the partnership to ensure full interoperability of BroadSoft's BroadWorks, BroadCloud and BroadTouch product offerings and the Sonus line of session border controllers, or SBCs, for telecommunications service providers, designed to accelerate their deployment of hosted, cloud-based, communication services.

Sonus and BroadSoft can provide simplified network designs to reduce costs by leveraging BroadSoft's products and the Sonus line of SBCs. Service providers can also use these BroadSoft and Sonus offerings to define and take to market a broad range of Unified Communications services including voice, video calling and conferencing, web conferencing, instant messaging and presence.

"BroadSoft and Sonus share a commitment to our global telecommunications service provider customers of providing seamlessly integrated network components," said Michael Tessler, president and CEO of BroadSoft. "By partnering with Sonus to fully test pre-integrated solutions, we believe we are simplifying the network support of our customers' Unified Communications solutions." "BroadSoft is a well-established leader in helping service providers create and monetize new services and capabilities," said Ray Dolan, president and CEO of Sonus. "Together, Sonus and BroadSoft products offer a pathway for service providers to leverage their investments as they seek to add new features and capabilities in a manner that is easy to use, simple to manage and affordable to deploy." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
